Daniel Bermingham

BA Trainee Solicitor

Daniel joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in April 2019 after having successfully completed all eight FE-1 examinations. In addition to holding an honours degree in law, Daniel has a strong commercial background which has aided him in servicing both domestic and international clients.

The key areas of practice which he is responsible for include property, employment, litigation and probate. 

Daniel qualified as a Solicitor in December 2021.

Wesley is the Principal Solicitor at the Practice in Dun Laoghaire and has built up over 10 years multi disciplinary experience across the following legal areas, Property Law, Personal Injury Matters, Commercial and Employment Law Matters, with particular specialisation in Property Law and Litigation matters.

Wesley formerly spent some 10 years in the commercial sector, working for several multi-national corporations, prior to entering the legal world.

He acts in a dual type capacity, acting in both properties related matters and litigation related matters, for both private and business clients.

Wesley has extensive in depth, experience buying and selling properties of all varieties on behalf of clients, which includes multi-million euro valued properties, in the greater South County Dublin areas and furthermore through-out Dublin and indeed Ireland.

He also has vast experience, in buying and selling commercial properties, on behalf of clients, in the greater South county Dublin area. His areas of specialty also include acting for Landlords and tenants in negotiating commercial leases and long terms letting arrangements.

Wesley also has particular specialisation in the area of Litigation or dispute resolution, which includes personal injury and medical negligence cases. He has a reputation for being an extremely, personable and approachable Solicitor and is known for his determined approach to these matters, when acting on behalf of his clients.

Furthermore, he is also heavily involved in local community-based initiatives, sitting on respective boards for several not-for profit community-based entities.

Fintan is a native of Dun Laoghaire, having grown up in Clarinda Park, in the locality. He worked as a Senior Manager in the Insurance industry for in excess of 35 years, thereafter he completed his Legal Qualification.

He subsequently has worked in a consultancy capacity in respect of all types of Litigation Cases, for
example, personal injuries, fatal injuries, cases of medical negligence and medical malpractice, psychological injuries, road traffic accidents, employer’s liabilities, obtaining successful results for his clients, from District Court Level up to High Court Level. His absolute strengths are his ability to understand the insurance industry and his interaction skills with his clients. The marriage of his insurance experience with his legal understanding makes him a very rare commodity in the legal industry, which is very fortunate for the clients that he represents.

He is well known, in the courts throughout the country, owing to his many years working closely with many of the most eminent Senior and Junior Counsel barristers, in Ireland and he has a reputation for his tenacious approach to matters .

He was involved in a defense capacity, in respect of the precedent case of Reddy-V- Bates as heard before Judge Darcy and a jury (4 days at the hearing). This case had a profound effect on future loss of earnings-relating to the security and continuity of employment and saved the insurance industry countless thousands ever since. The case is referred to in all actuarial reports now.

Peter Sutherland SC was for the Plaintiff and he briefed J P McKenzie SC & Kieran O Connor SC.

Fintan is also a Peace Commissioner, as appointed by successive Ministers for Justice and is also a Director of the Irish Institutes of Legal Executives, VCH of Cloverhill Prison VC and an International Liaison Officer of the Irish South African Association
